Jammu Region Corn wheat,rice and sugarcane are the main activities in agriculture. In fruits Citrus and mangos are Horticultural activities. Kashmir region. Rice is the main crop of the Kashmir. Corn, wheat is also grown in surrounding areas. Apple, Cherry, Walnuts Almonds Apricots, Peaches are extensively grown in the whole valley, Saffron is an other cash crop grown at Pam pure near Sirinagar. Tea cultivation and Saffron has also been introduced at Athmuqam in Neelum Valley. This Valley is also famous for producing Timber and Medicinal plants. Gilgitte and Baltistan. Gilgitte and Baltistan are surrounded by highest mountains of the world like K2 and Nanga Parbat. There is very limited activity in the field of agriculture, But alongside Indus River Potatoes are grown every where. Cherries and apples are also grown.
